Poem for my ex love

Addicted to Asiah

The break up wind blows

Yet smell I the petals of this beautiful rose

Asiah

My one dearest treasure

Whose accusing tears brew ancient storms

Invoking from within-er intrinsically impatient bombs

An African beauty that engulfs my thoughts

The only fire that cooks my intimate pots

I love Asiah my sweetest love

Beyond love I'm addicted to her

From those romantic fruits I'm made to starve

Yet beyond starvation I'm convicted to care

No sex

I guess, without paying tax

Pleasures wedded to guilt and unbearble suffering

As firm as the olive tree deep and wavering

Nevertheless

The less the more the more the less

And so God the Father addiction bless

Lest I fall into the son of perdition's curse

Tell mother I'm addicted to Asiah for a damned eternity

Tell her Asiah has become the barometer of my crammed sanity

Yesis person, what lingo don't you speak? But things we do for love, hey? No one will ever know how it feels when you are in love becuase it's just you.

Die dinge wat ons doen vir liefde, ja ne?
